Hey Bestie, Its Juls here...

I’m the baker behind Piped Sugar Cakery, a home bakery built from passion, creativity, and a whole lot of butter and sugar.

Baking started as an escape for me. Working in the NHS is incredibly rewarding, but as you can imagine, it can also be very stressful. I needed an outlet, somewhere I could breathe, reset, and just be. Baking became that safe space. What began as a way to unwind slowly grew into something I naturally gravitated toward every single day.

I’ve always had a creative mind, and cake-making became the perfect way to express it. I didn’t want to rely on store-bought toppers or pre-made decorations, I wanted every detail to be mine. Every swirl of buttercream, every handmade topper, every tiny touch of artistry. And the feeling I get when I finish a cake… well, have you ever done a sky dive? yeah me either, but I can imagine it’s a similar feeling. Seeing the final piece, the colours, textures, and imagination come to life, its pure magic.

At first, my cakes were shared only with those near me, my friends, colleagues and local community who supported me from the very beginning. But I wanted to dream bigger. I wanted my bakes to reach people all around the UK, to spread happiness far beyond my kitchen. Flour, sugar, eggs, and my trusty stand mixer may seem simple, but they create something so special when mixed with love and dedication.

I’m endlessly grateful to everyone who has supported me so far, those who’ve ordered, tasted, and shared my bakes. You’ve helped turn a simple escape into a growing bakery and a dream I can’t wait to keep building.
